| 10+ ACRES in the HIGH DESERT.....the first place..... .....recent pics of the land (and camper) I bought in Terlingua, Texas..... .....a few miles north of Big Bend National Park..... |
| A Free Spirited Rebel by choice..... .....what that translates to is that although I will always have a roof in Austin over my head, with a BIG WARM BED and all the modern amenities that go along with living in a home, I have chosen instead to continue to be "out there" on the roads - some have called me a professional drifter but those who know me KNOW that I am truly a free spirit - one with the balls to just go live Life.... .....my extended family in Austin continues to ask me to settle permanently with them yet they understand my desires to go with the winds, to live my life freely so I can experience being out there - living in the rough, sometimes staying with a few close friends I have made over the years but more often living in the tent (I'm on my 3rd) with nothing more than a change of clothing, a sleeping bag and those Grateful Dead songs I carry with me along the way.....my goals now have shifted and I've decided to camp out for a spell in the high desert - there are many challenges awaiting me in out in that desert that I continue to gravitate towards - much more to see and experience but most importantly it is still about living my life and embracing Life to its fullest - living Life without fear - living it!..... .....spectacular sunrises and sunsets, deafening silence, coyotes singing, creatures small and large walking past my tent and camper at night, snakes rattling and the tranquility of not just seeing it but being there has become one of the greatests gifts I have been allowed to enjoy..... so now I'm gonna rough it even moreso and disappear for a spell..... .....those who have tasted the magic of the desert know what THAT IS.... Christmas 2003 I spent with "family" and it was very special, much of my time being devoted to the "tiny treasures".... .....my "family" grudgingly gave their Blessings as they know I will down the road soon.... (THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME BUY THE CAMPER!!!!) .....ya can't keep a biker grounded too long when the winds are calling..... .....this old biker's gonna build himself a new home in the tranquility of the desert..... To my friends around the country BEST WISHES to YOU ALL IN THE NEW YEAR to come..... Peace and Prosperity Be Upon You All! da DingoMan |
