I created this page as a "THUMBNAIL HOME" for every page (and some single image files) within this domain since there are many pages NOT represented with links on the original 1st Page that was created in 2000 - 2006. The links that appear below, with the exception of DATED UPDATES, are not in any particular chronological order. This website was created in 1999 with intent to keep extended family & buddies informed. THIS DIRECTORY PAGE was created August 2007 to make the site easier to navigate. It is not the most professional looking thing - I ride better on two wheels than in designing any website so please excuse the simple look! Some of the pages within this domain contain no text. I am currently working on adding texts and captions to pages as time permits. I live with prostate cancer, HIV and end stage kidney disease. I still ride motorcycles and am known as the dingoman. | RUN MAPS 2001 - 2006 137,486 miles on a 1977 Honda 750K and a 2002 Honda ACE 750CD 3752 miles on a 2000 Suzuki Intruder 1500cc The thumbnails below will allow you to see a larger image of each run map. Pages for each map with completed text logs are still being developed. The numbers appearing on each map represent stopovers or extended stays. Some maps may seem to be duplications - they ARE NOT. I would travel frequently back to Austin, Springfield, Woodstock, New Orleans, Memphis, Big Bend, and the Fort Worth areas. Not included in the above mileage are several trips made between Terlingua - Midland - Austin while I resided in the desert area of the Big Bend. I usually made those trips every three months. Actual maps I carried were Rand McNally Atlas Road Editions - these maps were created with MS Streets by me for the web pages and do not show too many details - those details are eventually coming with respective pages. I usually slept off the roads in state parks, national parks, public forest land, occasionally for short rests (a few hours) I might sleep with the bike at picnic areas, rest areas and truck stops. Extended stays were often established in state and national parks as well with biker friends in both rural areas & larger cities. My last major ride was 2877 miles and done within 8 days to raise money for kids in the Big Bend Region with much publicity in several motorcycle magazines. At that time the prostate cancer had moved into its 2nd stage and I was having renal deficiency issues which almost a year later lead to renal failure. |
