EINSTEIN QUOTES

Only a life lived for others is a life worth while .

I have no special gift. I am only passionately curious .

I want to know God's thoughts... all the rest are details.

Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.

It's not that I'm so smart , it's just that I stay with problems longer.

No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it .

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds .

Without deep reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people .

Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts .

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge .

Two things inspire me to awe -- the starry heavens above and the moral universe within .

Teaching should be such that what is offered is perceived as a valuable gift and not as a hard duty .

A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of others .

We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has , of course , powerful muscles , but no personality.

Whoever undertakes to set himself up as judge in the field of truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the
Gods.

"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would  be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal
God, avoids dogmas and  theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual,  and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from
the experience of all things, natural and spiritual,  as a meaningful unity ."                       Einstein

"Lord make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred   let me sow love   where there is injury, pardon  where
there is doubt, faith  where there is despair, hope  where there is darkness, light  and where there is sadness, joy.  Grant
that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand, to be loved, as to love; for
it is in giving that we receive- it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in dying that we are born to eternal life."
  Francis of Assisi

Carlos Castaneda

images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish."

Unknown Scrawl

"There is a Spirit who is awake in our sleep and creates the wonder of dreams. He is Brahman, the Spirit of Light, who in
truth is called the Immortal. All the worlds rest on that Spirit and beyond him no one can go."           Ancient Celtic Scrawl

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that
it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it
possible."            T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia)

I am a holder of the paleolithic work ethic... hunt and gather what you need to feed and shelter your people: 2-3 hours a
day...Then hang out and tell stories, make art, dream, roll in the hay with your partners, and live in the blazingly bright
natural world.                                   Steve Self

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was
conscious only of following my fancies as a butterfly, and was unconscious of my individuality as a man. Suddenly I awoke,
and there I lay, myself again.. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am
now a butterfly, dreaming that I am a man.                           Chuang-Tzu, 3rd century BC

I dread success. To have succeeded is to have finished one's business on earth, like the male spider, who is killed by the
female the moment he has succeeded in his courtship. I like a state of continual becoming, with a goal in front and not
behind.                      George Bernard Shaw

Let no man imagine that he has no influence. Whoever he may be, and wherever he may be, the man who thinks, becomes

Why must people Places & Things jepordize our creativity plus upset the balance of our nature.  I hate the feeling of
resentment involved and the guilt trip I put on myself about that resentment.  WAH!  WAH!  WAH! --- It's so hard to get
ON with all that shit in my head.  What I really need is an insignificant other. Someone that's not figuring me out so I don't
have to go figure what they figured.  It's like cat and mouse. Kitty eats mouse and gets worms over and over and over.
Kitty has no guilt and I have to clear up the damned worms - so!  Bad Example! Where was I going with this?

NOT THERE!  Don't make me.....
