| .....WillowsWish September 2003..... .....500+ Gay and Lesbian Campers in Tents and RV's Out in the Middle of the Woods every September for a week of Wild Fun, Food, Shows, and Great Times..... .....I never heard of this event that has been taking place every year for the past 15 years or so but when my biker buddy Joel in Plano asked if I wanted to go camping before I returned to Austin from the Rockies last fall, well, I couldn't resist! - What he didn't tell me was that there were so many and so much going on - and the best part of it all - these guys and gals were ROUGHING IT - YEAH!...What follows are a few photos I took at this annual event at Lake Murray in Oklahoma....OH YEAH, there's a "Texas" side and an "Oklahoma" side in this big TENT CITY that reminded me of Burning Man....the pics reveal a bit of it all.....for more information just do a web search on WillowSwish and Lake Murray and Gay......there's several sites and new groups about this brave and unorthodox group of people who know how to throw a party! .....the BEAUTY of it all was the sharing of each other, the food and the many hosted "bars"..... |
